Activities realised in the framework of Essedra Project

Within the framework of the ESSEDRA project, VIS Albania participated to the annual national fair “Agrobiznes 2014” in Tirana, Albania, occurred from 25 to 28 of September and organized by KASH (Council of Albanian Agrobusiness) and by Municipality of Tirana.
During the fair, 2 informative brochures have been officially presented, expressly thought for the project. One brochure is thought for Institutions, explaining obligation of European regulations on food hygiene as well as exceptions provided by those regulations that can help small producers; the other is thought for producers, focusing on the HACCP system and how to recognize a critical control point.

Goal of the event

Beside being an opportunity of meeting between producers and consumers, the event has been also an important moment of constructive confrontation between producers themselves.
During the event, the Albanian small-scale producers had the chance to sell their products, by supporting a model of agricultural production based on healthy and traditional food, respecting the environment and contributing to the social and economical development of rural areas.

Brief Description

VIS gave the possibility to producers involved in the project (i.e. Fryma e Kelmendit, Shkrel producers, Qendra at mhill Troshani, Pro Permet, Flutura Begu, Selam Kalaj, Recj Prodhimtar) to promote their products.
