Held on 22 June 2013, the Kyustendil Cherry Festival is a regular event organized by the munici- pality to celebrate the diversity of cherries that make the area of Kyustendil famous. SF Bulgaria presented the philosophy of “good, clean and fair” food to the participants. The Slow Food convivium leader in Kyustendil presented “modern” recipes using cherries, like cherry pickles and cherry gazpacho.
